Head of Sales & Education Asia

As head of sales & education for Asia Robert has worked with the leading guest stylists and heads up the education and style squad teams across the Asia region. With over 30 years salon and education experience having worked in London with four times British Hairdresser of the year Akin Konizi at HOB Salons and Academy he is sharing the ghd global training programme to inspire salons and stylists creating more good hair days for them and their customers and changing mind-sets along the way.


Global Educator

Having been an integral part of the multi award winning Ken Picton Salon for six years and presented a weekly style segment on S4C’s daytime TV show, Pryhawn Da, Dafydd has now joined the ghd family as global educator. Having won the BHA South-West British Hairdresser of the Year 2013 and was also part of the elite F.A.M.E. Team for 2014 Dafydd comes with an amazing amount of both salon and education experience.

Nail It! by Artistic Nail Design & OPI

Top nail artists and technicians will showcase their skills and talent at the ninth consecutive Nail It! by Artistic Nail Design & OPI Competition at Beautyworld Middle East 2017.

The dedicated competition for nail care professionals is open to nail technicians from the UAE and will take place over the 3 days of the show. Nail It Competition is managed by Nazih Group.

Beautyworld Middle East 2017-Estetica Magazine

Celebrating their 70th Year, Estetica Magazine will be at the Center Stage and will display over 70 photo collections of the international magazine covers showing the hair fashion evolution since 70 years. An Arabic edition is soon to be available in the Middle East serving the international beauty industry and will provide readers with essential information on product innovation, celebrity interviews and industry news as well as corporate advertising.

Alter Ego Italy is one of the brand presenting hair trends at the Center Stage in Beautyworld Middle East 2017 together with Sanrizz Artistic Team. It is such an opportunity to learn techniques, trends and ideas that Alter Ego Italy will express with made in Italy spirit.

Special guests from Italy, Akademia Team and directly from London Leonardo Rizzo, Sanrizz Creative Director for Alter Ego italy and Rudy Rizzo to present Mediterranea Spring/Summer Collection 2017. All of them are unduplicated in terms of talents and knowledge on hair care and style. We will be witnessing for  three days the impressive creativity of these phenomenal inviduals who have gone so far in their fortes in the hair industry.

John Paul Mitchell Systems will be bringing in Mr. Toby Price for the Beautyworld 2017.

Toby Price is a Paul Mitchell focus salon owner, international educator, platform artist and trainer. Traveling and training alongside some of the industry’s biggest leaders all over the world. Bringing the passion and excitement of those adventures to his team keeps them fresh and current.

Toby’s objective at the beauty world will be educating the professionals about The Color XG of Paul Mitchell with different styles of haircutting and vibrant coloring techniques. Additionally, he will share his experience in how to make the salon business grow successfully with Paul Mitchell six economics approach.

Keratin Complex is the market leader when it comes to keratin treatments smoothing category.

As a highlight, two of their best international hair stylists, Ozzie Reyes and John Frank Velez, are performing live this year at the Center Stage.

Ozzie Reyes is a highly sought after and accomplished celebrity hairstylist and creative artist. Ozzie’s 20 plus years of experience are showcased in many publications, and he is an expert in the field of coloring, haircut, and highly textured hair.

John Frank is the International Business Development Manager at Keratin Complex and likewise he is a renowned hairstylist, colorist, educator and entrepreneur.  He has been a creative force in the international education arena for the past twenty five years and is well recognized in the United States, Latin America and Europe for his professional experience, innovative collections and cutting edge educational programs.

Ariana Sin is a hair and make-up artist native to California. Shortly after becoming a licensed hair stylist Ariana attended Make-up Designory. This began her journey in print, film, and behind the scenes work where she met many people including the Hair Activist himself, Guy Tang. When she is not assisting our hairbestie, she enjoys being behind the chair and learning all there is to know about our wonderful industry.

It’s show time for the salons in the UAE!

Nazih Group selected top 12 salons to perform on the center stage to showcase their creativity and talents doing different cuts, coloring or styling. Three salons will present daily the looks and judges will rate based on the categories and criteria. The audience will also form part of the jury. Winners receive the awards on the last day of the Beautyworld Middle East.
